The service provides community care services (Outreach) to people living in their own home, not Specialist Supported Living. The service could be for someone requiring support and encouragement, this could include personal care. The hours will be assessed hours via a Social Worker. The hours could be flexible and depending on the individual’s mental health could be reduced or increased depending on their needs. The service could be a new support service for a person recently diagnosed, or for someone who has lived in Specialist Supported Living or another service but now ready to move on into the community but still requiring support.

The Amethyst team will assist to nurture and develop independent life skills, whether this be, food preparation, cooking or budgeting finances, to gauge the level of care and support that will be required to facilitate your move on to the next chapter. We will assist and support the sourcing of a home that is appropriate to support independence whether this continues with the Amethyst team or an alternative source of support to fulfil all care and support needs.
Amethyst believes that to achieve a positive result, whereby an individual can enjoy the benefits of a holistic long term independent life, it is essential that the pathway to independent living must be delivered in a staged, unpressurised environment, at a pace that is tailored to both the person and their support network; the process must not be time constrained in anyway but personalised to reflect individual ability.
Amethyst provides various Supported Living properties that cater for the varying needs of individuals with Physical Disability, Learning Disability, Mental Health, Acquired Brain Injury and specialist neuro-degenerative conditions.
